The Global Brain Just Got a Whole Lot Bigger
Science, logic, and the thrill of discovery don’t belong to just one culture or one tongue. Curiosity is the universal language of humanity. However, we realized that while the spirit of inquiry is global, the text on Freethinkers Virals wasn’t always as accessible as it should be.
That ends today. We are thrilled to announce that the barriers to entry for high-quality, fact-based storytelling have officially come down.
🌍 Your Language, Our Logic
Whether you are diving into the latest debunking of pseudoscience or exploring the vast reaches of astrophysics, you can now do it in the language you think in.
- Manual Selection: We have added a dedicated selector in our menu featuring 8 primary languages for quick switching.
- The “Auto-Magic” Feature: Our system is now integrated with browser-detection technology. If your browser is set to any of the 104 supported languages, the site should automatically translate the content for you.
From Armenian to Zulu, and Finnish to Swahili, we are making sure that freethought is a global conversation.
How it Works: The Science of Translation
While it might feel like magic, this is the result of sophisticated Neural Machine Translation (NMT). Unlike the clunky word-for-word translations of the past, NMT uses deep learning to understand the context and intent of sentences. This ensures that when we discuss complex topics like secularism or quantum mechanics, the nuance isn’t lost in translation.
Fun Fact: There are roughly 7,000 living languages in the world today. By supporting over 100, we are now accessible to over 90% of the world’s internet-using population.
Try it Now!
We want to see if our tech is as smart as we think it is. Go to the menu, toggle your language, or refresh the page with your browser settings updated.
Does the translation capture the “vibe” of your native tongue, or did we miss a nuance? Let us know in the comments below!
