Justin Roy

Justin Roy is a research specialist at Write My Thesis UK, and applicants who look for a PhD research proposal writing service built around feedback and guidance often come to him before they have sent a single application. Many of them do not know how to approach a potential supervisor, even though a doctoral place often depends on finding someone willing to take the project on. Justin helps them read a supervisor’s recent publications and projects, and decide whether the proposal truly fits that person’s interests. He then helps them write a short, polite first email that states the research idea in a few lines and explains why this supervisor was chosen. Once a supervisor responds, he reviews the proposal against their comments, checking that the question, method and plan still hang together after any change. He also looks at whether the proposal is honest about what is new and what already exists. Written comments cover structure, word count and referencing, and each proposal stays confidential and centred on the applicant’s own ideas.
