Some of you already know Dolly. She is a lesbian ex-Muslim activist from Egypt, and a member of our community since she reached out to us for help. Her story was hard to read: a childhood without freedom, a family that disowned her, and threats that left her no choice but to leave Egypt. With the help of many of you, she made it to Georgia and started over.
Starting over turned out to be the hard part.
Dolly lost her job, and finding a new one has become close to impossible. In her own words: “the Georgian market became too strict against foreigners and queer people and I’m having trouble finding any job opportunities or anything.”
So we’re asking you for something different this time. Not a donation, but a job.
