In Aryan’s previous story, you read that he returned to Iran to be with his father, who was seriously ill. He had no choice but to risk everything and enter Iran illegally to be by his father’s side. In Aryan’s words:
“Although my dad will never be the same again, I’m happy he’s alive.”

They celebrated Nowruz, the Persian New Year — a traditional festival marking the beginning of spring. Although it’s a beautiful celebration, this year was far from joyful. On his birthday, Aryan was deported back to Afghanistan. Yes, it happened on the very day he was born.

Since then, he has been living under extreme stress and anxiety, constantly fearing being caught by the Taliban.

Aryan hopes despite these circumstances that this year he will finally get the chance to secure his scholarship and go to Italy. With the help of Freethinkers and GoFundMe, it might become a reality:

Aryan’s words: “I can see the good days are coming. But I hope Trump doesn’t end them because of his threats to Iran. He already made Iran’s economy much smaller just with his tweets — let alone if he attacks the country. So let’s hope those things won’t happen.”
