Freethinkers International has about 25,500 followers on X. This is a considerable number. But we are really struggling. How come?
Basically, every single account with such a high number of followers has posts that are read by thousands of people.
No. We pin a post for some time, and we get only about 300 views (not engagements). It is very hard to say, and I have to be honest with you, but this is really miserable. Our normal posts (unpinned) get a maximum of 200 views. Less than 1% of our followers actually see many of our posts.
We are not only supposed to share some challenging thoughts, but the main reason we are here is to financially support people in very dire situations.
They can be killed or tortured just because they are secular, gay, transgender, or don’t want to become child soldiers.
So just giving us a like, reposting our posts, clicking on the link, commenting, or simply clicking on a particular post can work wonders. Even the smallest click that every one of you makes will have an impact on X’s algorithm. And please don’t argue that your activity is worthless. It is just like elections: “My vote doesn’t matter!” If everyone thought that way, nobody would vote. If just 10% of our followers interacted with every post, our reach could multiply several times.
Every action you take helps new people discover us, and they can do the same.
One click → more visibility.
More visibility → more followers.
More followers → more donors.
More donors → more lives saved.
As we gain more visibility, we will get more followers, more visitors to our website, and more potential donors.
So consider this carefully. Your next click could reach someone who saves a life.
