Help 4-Year-Old Latifa Get the Surgery She Desperately Needs
Latifa is only four years old, but she has already faced more suffering than most of us will in a lifetime.
She was born prematurely in April 2021, fighting for her life in an incubator while her mother, Layla, struggled with illness. From the very beginning, Latifa’s health has been fragile. She has battled infections, malaria, blood poisoning, and severe developmental delays. Every milestone — sitting up, taking her first steps — has come with years of struggle and worry.
But now, Latifa faces the most urgent challenge of her young life.
Latifa was born with a genital anomaly. Her vaginal opening never fully developed. Doctors had hoped the operation could wait until she was older, but today she is in terrible pain every time she urinates. Without surgery, her condition will only get worse — leading to infections, permanent damage, and unbearable suffering.
Latifa’s father, Mumino, has fought for her every single day. He lives in hiding with her, after her mother passed away and their family was targeted by her mother’s clan. Mumino himself is persecuted for apostasy. They live in constant fear, moving from place to place to stay safe. But as much as Mumino protects her from danger, he cannot protect her from the pain in her small body.

We need €3000 to pay for Latifa’s life-saving operation and the medical care she will need afterwards.
