Mira, a young transgender woman from Yemen, fled her homeland to escape threats, violence, and persecution. Her journey led her through Egypt and eventually to another country, where she continues to live in fear and uncertainty, without legal status or stable support. Despite everything, she remains determined to survive, rebuild her life, and be herself. Freethinkers International has been following and supporting her from the start. This is the next chapter in her ongoing struggle.

If you’ve been following Mira’s story, you know that in her previous situation, she was in danger even at what was supposed to be a safe spot. That’s why she had to move to safer location in another city. This exact location will remain anonymous for her protection.

Although she is now in a safer place, it doesn’t mean she is truly safe there as an LGBTQ+ person. Her ultimate goal is still to move to a more LGBTQ+ friendly country, where she can finally pursue her dreams of studying and building a future for her family.

For now, while she is still on her journey, Mira relies on donations to survive. Things have been tough, and she’s even had to borrow from friends who can spare a little.

We know Mira as a kind-hearted and motivated person who simply wants to live in peace-without having to be in survival mode every single day. Can you help her on her journey to safety?
